A European Union traveller is allowed to travel 90 continual days in Turkey but this tourist visa can be extended. Travelling to Turkey on your own vehicle makes it more complicated, as a vehicle is allowed for 90 days in 180 days in Turkey. After staying almost three months in Turkey I had to leave the country and my primary plan was to enter Iran next. Due to the fact, that the Islamic Republic of Iran opened their borders for tourist recently I decided to go to Iraq first and apply for the Iran visa from Erbil in Iraq-Kurdistane. I was slowly travelling through the east of Turkey towards Lake Van and further south to the Iraq border. The border crossing was pretty easy but took about 3 hours of my time.

The last part of Turkey I was travelling through was Turkish Kurdistane. The scienery was superb and the people very friendly and hospitable like all over Turkey.
