After spending almost all of my 90 allowable days in Turkey I left the country to Kurdistane in Iraq. The border crossing took about 3 hours but I got a 30 day visa at the border. The first big city was Dahuk in the north of Iraq.

Approximately 40 km south of Dohuk is the village of Alqosh, which is home to the Deir Monstery.
